ATP CHALLANGER 'BH TELECOM INDOORS 2010' TOURNAMENT PRESS CONFERENCE

Success of today’s conference is based on the media’s readiness and their sensitivity for adequate coverage of such top level sport event.

Tournament Director, Mr. Senad Hadžimesic underlined the importance and success in the continuity in holding the tournament during the last eight years. He also stated that this tournament is one of the strongest regarding the quality of the players who will play this year in Sarajevo. Top seed is Slovak Karol Beck. This year tennis fans will also enjoy watching Dominik Hrbaty formerly ranked as 12. on the ATP list who earned over seven million dollars in his career.

Representative of the main sponsor Ms. Nađa Lutvikadić talked about importance of such sport events in education and direction of the young population towards sport and positive way of living at the present time. BH Telecom is again the main sponsor and has recognized the importance of sport and its influence to the living environment and society. She asked the media to give their support to this event. The goal is to promote the top level tennis and to raise the public awareness on sport welfare in general is a challenging. Therefore entrance to all matches is free. Significant number of visitors and tennis fans are expected to visit this year ATP Challenger.

Mr. Haris Kafedžić stated that constant efforts bring the results, but there is still long way to go.
Minister Emir Hadžihafizbegović looked back to positive outcome regarding the tournament organization despite difficult financial situation. The Ministry will continue its efforts and struggle to provide a financial means for such sport events. During the last three years Minister Hadžihafizbegović is the President of the ATP Challenger Tournament‘s Organizing Board.


The BiH Davis Cup team and BiH Tennis Association representatives also addressed the media regarding the victory against Macedonian Davis Cup representation two days ago in Veles, Macedonia.

POSITIVE AHMOSPHERE BEFORE ‘BH TELECOM INDOORS 2010’ MAIN DRAW START

Sarajevo, 07.03.2010. - BH Telecom the leading dominant operator in B&H in the area of telecommunications is again the main sponsor of this prestige tennis event.
Tomorrow main draw starts at 1:00 p.m. and six matches will be played.

The first seed of this year tournament is Slovakian player Karol Beck, currently 88. on the ATP world list. The top tennis professionals such as  Dominik Hrbaty, Kristof Vliegen and Nicolas Mahut will come to play in Sarajevo this year.  Gilles Elseneer’s participation is seen as his return to the world of professional tennis after injury.

Top tennis professionals who will play without any doubt will contribute to the dynamic of the tournament and provide the real joy to all tennis fans.


 

FIRST ROUND QUALIFAYING ‘BH TELECOM INDOORS 2010’ TOURNAMENT MATCHES PLAYED

Sarajevo, 07.03.2010. -  BH Telecom is again the General Sponzor of this prestige tennis event recognized the importance of this top level sport event and generously supported.


Thanking to the generosity of the sponsor the all tennis fans and supporters will have free entrance to the venue during entire tournament.

Fifteen qualifying matches were played today under Hans-Jürgen Ochs's supervision.


Among four BiH players who played today, Jasmin Ademovic is the only one who passed to the next round. The second round of qualifying matches are at the program tomorrow at 12:00 a.m.
