Voltchkov Vladimir (BLR) beat Mertinak Michael (SVK) 7/6, 6/3 and won the title of third BH Telecom Cup Ssrajevo Open 2005

Mertinak Michael (SVK) and Dennis Voltchkov Vladimir (BLR) are going to fight it out for the title of the third ATP BH Telecom Cup Sarajevo Open 2005.

They beat the pair DLOUHY, Lukas (CZE) and VACEK, Jan (CZE) 6/7, 6/2, 6/2.

Today, 19.03.2005, semifinals (singles) and finals (doubles) matches started.

Fourth day of competition on tennis tournament ATP Challenger series, „BH TELECOM CUP – SARAJEVO OPEN 2005 „ was more than exciting. Unexpectedly few of favorites finished on competition, one of them is last year winner Gilles ELSENEER (BEL)

First name of today’s tournament is Sergiy STAKHOVSKY, who won last year winner ELSENEER. Result was 6-4; 6-4.

14.03.2005. Main tournament has stared.
Match of day was played between Michael BERRER and Jan VACEK. Result was 6-4, 6-2 for BERRER
Also, our (Bosnian) couples played: Feđa FETAHAGIĆ/Mirza MULAHASANOVIĆ and Ivan DODIG/Aldin ŠETKIĆ, but with no success, so in further competition Bosnia will be without representatives.

During the second day of the ATP Challenger series tennis tournament "BH TELECOM CUP - SARAJEVO OPEN 2005" qualifying matches of the second third round were played for entering the head tournament which starts tomorrow at 11 a.m. The tournament is being held in Sarajevo in Olympic hall “Zetra” in period between 12 and 20 of March 2005.
In the first round of the head tournament 32 tennisers will play, 24 of them directly entered the tournament based on their ranking; four of them qualified and four were invited by organizers
(Wild Card -WC) - : Gordan PERANEC (CRO); Nikolay NESTEROV (RUS); Clay DONATO (CAN); and Benjamin ALTHAUS (GER)

Six Bosnian players played in the first round of qualifying matches today. Ismar Goricic and Ivan Dodik managed to qualify for the second round of the tournament which will start tomorrow. Tomorrow, Ismar Goricic will meet Dlouhu Lukas (CZE), while Ivan Dodik (BiH) will play against Mulahasanovic Mirza (BiH).

First round of qualifying matches of tournament was played today. The results of today’s matches are available on the RESULTS page. The qualifying matches will continue to play tomorrow, as well. The first matches will start at 10:00 o’clock.
The main tournament starts on Monday.
